NYC is better known for its boozy brunches, offering bottomless mimosas and bloody marys as long as you pay for the $25 entrée (which isn’t actually a bad deal as long as you’re comfortable with being completely inebriated before noon).
But if you’re craving a good ol’ traditional American breakfast, Johny’s Luncheonette is where you need to go. New York City doesn’t have a ton of diners anymore, but the one’s that have been preserved are typically more expensive than Johny’s.
Johny’s Luncheonette is a no frills diner experience, which is exactly what to love about diners. The food is good and tastes exactly how diner food should taste while being incredibly inexpensive.
Nothing on the menu is over $9, which in NYC is almost unheard of.
